Thank you to everyone who made this year’s Big Inflatable Walk such a success. The support from local businesses and the community has been incredible.
We raised a whopping £1211.79 this year in aid of The DPJ Foundation.
We will announce the date for the next walk in the new year.
The charity we support is the DPJ Foundation. who provide mental health support for the farming community. The DPJ Foundation was set up in July 2016 following the death of Daniel Picton-Jones. The DPJ Foundation aims to support those in the agricultural sector suffering from poor mental health. Daniel’s mental health went undiagnosed and unseen by many. Daniel was an agricultural contractor, he was part of a sector with the highest suicide rate. His widow Emma decided to set up the foundation to support the mental health farming sector, for those who feel just as Daniel did, providing them with the support that he didn’t know how to get.
What We Do
At The Big Inflatable Walk, all our participants wear huge inflatable costumes and walk four miles between The Stumble Inn in Bwlch-y-Cibau and Market Square in Llanfyllin. We make quite the spectacle and the community always comes out in force to support us along the route. We hope to see you at our next walk in 2022.
